Fever Crumb
by Philip Reeve
As far back as she can remember, Fever has always been an engineer in training. Dr. Crumb tells her she was found in a basket with a note telling her name, but nothing else. Her only memories are those growing up in Godshawk's Head, until now.
When she is sent to help Kit on an archaeology project, she is consumed with thoughts, images, and memories not her own. Who's are they? What do they mean? Why is this happening to her? She has more questions than answers and when it seems she might be getting information about who she really is, someone tries to kill her. Travel with Fever on her journey through her mysterious past and with her into her unknown future.

Incarceron
Finn is on the inside. Claudia is on the outside. Incarceron, the prison, keeps their two worlds from coming together.
The thing about Incarceron is: if you're on the inside, there's no getting out. No one knows where it is and no one knows exactly WHAT it is either. Only the Warden and the inmates know what really goes on inside the walls of Incarceron.

One Crazy Summer by Rita Williams-Garcia
Eleven year old Delphine lives in Brooklyn with her Father, Grandma (Big Ma) and two younger sisters. The girls' Mother left them to live in California when they were small. One summer their Father decides the girls should get to know their Mother, Cecile, and the three sisters fly across the country by themselves to Oakland, California in the summer of 1968. It turns out Cecile isn't much of a Mother, she never cooks for them, and sends them to the neighborhood day camp every day. The camp is run by a group called the Black Panthers, who wear large afros and black berets, and teach the girls to question everything they were taught to believe. How will this summer in Oakland change Delphine and her sisters and the way they feel about their distant Mother, who seems to want nothing to do with them?
The Monstrumologist
What if there were scientist who really studied monsters? What would their lives be like and how would they go about studying the things they specialized in? Where do you find monsters; or do they find you?

Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pie
by Jordan Sonnenblick
Steven Alper's 8th grade year isn't starting out so great. He's madly in love with a girl named Renee who barely notices he's alive, and his 5 year old brother Jeffrey is as annoying as ever. At least he made the All-Star Jazz Band where can play the drums, but keeping up with teachers and homework even makes that hard.

Donut Days
by Lara Zielin
Both of Emma's parents are pastors of their own church and both feel very strongly about Emma going to a Christian college. But the Christian college that her parents want her to attend does not have a program in journalism and Emma loves to write. To have a chance at winning the money to pay for her own college tuition, Emma has to cover the opening of a new donut store. People come from all over to camp out weeks in advance. At the same time she is struggling to make her parents understand how important writing is to her, she finds out about a conspiracy to have her mother fired and she uncovers an environmental scandal involving her parents' church. All she wants is to be a writer and for her parents to trust her, but those simple wishes don't seem so simple after all.
