Lily Sanderson is half human, half mermaid. When she gets the chance, and permision, from her father to live as a human for a few years in her aunts house she jumps at the chance to find out what it's like to be a human girl, attending a human high school, falling in love with a human guy. This is her chance to find out more about her human mother and what her life was like on land.
Life gets a little complicated when you're a teenager. Imagine how complicated things would be if you don't acually belong to the group of people you hang around with. The guy you like doesn't even know who you are, while the guy that likes you is constantly making your life miserable.
