Imagine being only one of nine others responsible for the survival of your race. There are those who are hunting you all down, one by one, to kill you. All nine of these survivors must be killed in numerical order. Numbers one, two, and three are already dead. Number four is next. But number four is fifteen now. He has a girlfriend and a best friend. He has finally found a place where he feels like he belongs, but THEY know where he is and THEY are coming after him. Should he stay and fight or continue to run?

Pop

by Gordon Korman
I thought this book was going to be JUST about football, but it was about a lot more. Marcus and his mother have moved from Kansas to a little town called Kenesaw. As the new guy, the high school football team is not very excited about having him join, even though he has a monster arm. He makes another enemy when the quarterback's ex-girlfriend starts flirting with him. His only friend is a 50 year old athlete named Charlie. Charlie is fit, fast, and a fabulous athlete. But there's something not quite right about Charlie.

How not to be Popular

Sugar Magnolia Dempsey, known as Maggie, is 17 years old and has never lived anywhere for more than 8 months, thanks to her free-spirited hippie parents. Her latest move, to Austin, Texas, has left her missing the friends she left behind, and determined NOT to make any new friends. That way, she won't miss them when she moves again, right?
Follow Maggie's adventures of dressing as awfully as possible, and saying and doing all the wrong things. See how funny her attempts at being unpopular can be!
